A female choreographer has accused choreographer Ganesh Acharya of depriving her of work. She has filed a complaint against Ganesh at the Amboli police station in Mumbai and Maharashtra State Commission for Woman. In her complaint, the choreographer said that she was asked to give a commission from her income to Acharya and watch adult videos. Ganesh Acharya is the General Secretary of the Indian Film and Television Choreographers Association (IFTCA). The complainant is a choreographer at the IFTCA and has alleged that Acharya has been harassing her ever since he became the General Secretary of the association. The choreographer added that she was also ‘forced to watch adult videos’.
The Maharashtra State Commission for Woman has appointed a counsellor to talk to the female choreographer, and will soon issue a notice to Ganesh Acharya. The complainant also alleged that since she did not agree to Acharya's terms, he sought revenge from her and got her IFTCA membership suspended.
