You might soon be able to log into WhatsApp‘s desktop version just with your fingerprint. WhatsApp is reportedly testing a fingerprint login system on the messaging app’s latest beta build for Android (2.20.200). The feature works similarly to the QA code interface the app currently uses to authenticate new desktop sessions.
This new login method is definitely more convenient. While the process is essentially the same, if and when this feature rolls out, you will no longer need to scan a QR code.
