Tata Motors today unveiled the turbo-petrol variant of the Altroz, called the Altroz iTurbo. The new Tata Altroz iTurbo price is expected to be in the range of Rs 8 lakh to Rs 9 lakh. While the bookings for the new Tata Altroz iTurbo will commence on January 14, 2021, for a token amount of Rs 11,000, it will be launched in India on January 22, 2021. The 2021 Tata Altroz iTurbo will be available in XT, XZ and XZ+ variants. The XZ+ will be the new top-of-the-line trim for for the Altroz range. The new Tata Altroz iTurbo will be offered in five colour options - Highstreet Gold, Downtown Red, Midtown Grey, Avenue White and the new Harbour Blue.
At the heart of the new Tata Altroz iTurbo will be a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine developing 111PS of maximum power and 140Nm of peak torque. The motor will be mated to a 5-speed MT, with a 7-speed DCT automatic expected to arrive at a later stage. The Tata Nexon also employs this engine. But in the compact SUV, the mill develops 120PS of maximum power and 170Nm of peak torque, and can be paired either with a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed AMT.
