The Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Chhichhore facing stiff competition from Ayushmann Khurrana's Dream Girl, the film has managed to cross Rs 100 crore. It was a good second weekend for the film. It minted 9.42 crore on Saturday and 10.47 crore on Sunday. On Monday (September 16) the film bagged Rs 4.02 crore, making a total of Rs 98.08 crore. Chhichhore made Rs 4.02 crore on Tuesday, thus crossing the Rs 100-crore mark.
Chhichhore has an array of actors who left an impact on the audience's mind. In an earlier interview, Nitesh talked about the process of casting all the actors. He said, "Most of the characters that I write, no matter small or big, they are extremely performance-oriented. So one thing is for given that everyone has to be a terrific performer. That's like hygiene check for most of my films. This film also had very specific requirements because all the characters, there are seven of them, needed to look young and middle-aged also. You can't take somebody who is very young, because then looking old doesn't look convincing. You can't take someone who is extremely old because looking young doesn't look convincing. I was very clear that I need someone who would be in 30s, to make him or her look like 18-19 years old and also look like 42-45 years old. So that became very specific and hence this cast."
