SSR case: CBI sources suggest `suspicious behaviour` a day before the actor`s death

Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise on June 14 is being probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation while the Narcotics Control Bureau is looking into the alleged drugs angle and have arrested Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik. The NCB got 14-days judicial custody of Rhea, who is reportedly lodged at Byculla jail. According to reports, Rhea and Showik are likely to file for bail today.

The investigating agencies have revealed major leads on ‘homicide’ angle on ‘day of death’ discrepancy in the Sushant Singh Rajput death probe. Top Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sources have told that Sushant Singh Rajput's phone usage hinted towards 'suspicious behaviour' by the actor a 'day before his body was found’.

Besides Rhea Chakraborty, the prime accused in the case, the investigating agencies have questioned the late actor's staff members as well as his friends for probable inconsistencies in their statements.

For instance, the probe agency has its lens fixed on why, when Rajput's cook Neeraj said that the actor had a glass of juice on the morning of June 14, the post mortem noted an 'empty bladder'. Similarly, the probe has also zeroed down upon why, when Dipesh Sawant said that he was 'alarmed' and was knocking the door from 10.30 to 1 pm on June 14, was he texting another individual for an ad-related matter.
