A shocking case involving the murder of a six-year-old girl has come to light in Haldauni village under the jurisdiction of the Ecotech-3 police station in Greater Noida. The child had gone missing from her home on August 28. After an extensive search failed to locate her, her family informed the police, following which a case was registered at the Ecotech-3 police station.
Given the seriousness of the incident, the police formed five teams to search for the girl. The teams examined CCTV footage and used technical as well as local intelligence to advance the investigation. During the probe, a suspect was identified and taken into custody. Police have also recovered the girl's body.
According to the police, the family of the approximately six-year-old girl, a resident of Haldauni village, reported on August 28 that she had left home without informing anyone and could not be found. Based on the family's complaint, a case was registered at the Ecotech-3 police station.
Five police teams were deployed to locate the child as quickly as possible. The teams searched the village and surrounding areas and examined CCTV footage from cameras installed at various locations. During the investigation, police obtained some important leads.
CCTV footage showed a suspicious person carrying a sack. Police then worked to identify the individual using the footage and other sources. As the investigation progressed, one suspect was taken into custody. Subsequently, police recovered the girl's body and sent it for post-mortem examination.
DCP Central Noida Shailendra Singh said five police teams had been formed to search for the girl. The teams identified the suspect with the help of CCTV footage and other sources and recovered the child's body.
The post-mortem examination is being conducted by a panel of doctors and is being videographed to preserve all important facts related to the case. Following the incident, police officials and a team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) inspected the crime scene. Efforts are underway to collect evidence from the site and establish the sequence of events.
The suspect is in police custody and is being questioned. Investigators are examining the motive behind the murder and the circumstances in which the crime was committed. Police are investigating the case from all possible angles, including the possibility of sexual assault along with murder.
The post-mortem report and forensic examination are expected to provide important information about the incident. Police said further legal action would be taken based on the evidence and findings of the investigation.
