Oppo A53 launched with 5G version in China today. The Oppo A53 5G costs CNY 1,299 (roughly Rs 14,600) for the base variant. The smartphone comes in Lake Green, Secret Night Black, and Streamer Purple colours. The Oppo A53 5G is slightly different in terms of specifications, including the processor. The regular A53 uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 processor but the A53 rocks a Dimensity 720 SoC on the inside. This chip has an inbuilt 5G modem that supports different 5G networks in China and outside. The A53 5G features a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 1080x2400 pixels, along with the 90Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling.
There is a 90.5 per cent screen-to-body ratio on the Oppo A53 5G. Oppo is touting a peak brightness of 480 nits on the display, which is good at least on paper. The smartphone also has a fingerprint sensor embedded on the power button. There are two RAM configurations for the A53 5G, 4GB and 6GB RAM. The internal storage space is limited to 128GB, along with support for microSD card.
