Wajid debuted as a music composer in Bollywood with Salman Khan's Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya in 1998 along with his elder brother Sajid Khan. They composed one song, Teri Jawani Badi Mast Mast Hai, for the film. Following year, the composer duo were offered to give music for four songs in Salman Khan's Hello Brother.
While Wajid Khan majorly composed music with his brother Sajid Khan, he also sang many popular songs. Some of the most popular songs crooned by Wajid include Do You Wanna Partner, Tujhse Aksa Beach Ghuma Doon, Soni De Nakhre, Hud Hud Dabangg, Chinta Ta Chita Chita, Mashallah and Fevicol Se. Sajid-Wajid were among the judges of popular singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in 2010, 2012 and 2016. Wajid was in the judges panel alone in 2018.
