MS Dhoni becomes the first Indian to hit 200 six in IPL history

Mahendra Singh Dhoni became the first Indian to hit 200 sixes in the Indian Premier League on Sunday. He smashed a career-best unbeaten 84 from 48 balls but it as not enough as Chennai Super Kings lost a thriller against Royal Challengers Bangalore by 1 run at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The Chennai skipper 7 sixes to take his tally of sixes to 203 in the all-time list of maximums in the IPL.

Leading the list though are Chris Gayle (323) and AB de Villiers (204). The next best Indian on the list of most sixes in the IPL are Chennai's Suresh Raina and Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma, who both have 190 sixes to their name. Dhoni, on Sunday, also completed 4000 runs captain in the Indian Premier League, after Virat Kohli.

Dhoni has been in tremendous form with the bat in the 2019 season if the IPL, scoring 314 from 9 games and has already hit three half-centuries. He scored a and unbeaten 75 (his previous career-best before Sunday) to help CSK win by 8 runs at home and then in the reverse fixture in Jaipur, Dhoni scored 43-ball 58 as CSK won again by 4 wickets.
