India on Monday reported 62,064 coronavirus cases, taking its total caseload to 22,15,074, according to data from the Union Health Ministry. With 1,007 fatalities in the last 24 hours, the overall death toll touched 44,386. As many as 15,35,743 people have recovered from the disease, with at least 54,589 people recuperating in the last 24 hours. There are about 6,34,945 active cases of coronavirus in the country. The recovery rate now stands at 69.33 per cent while the case fatality rate has dropped to about 2 per cent, the ministry said.
Maharashtra reported 13,348 recoveries and 12,248 new cases of Covid-19 in 24 hours. The state's infection tally now stands at 5,15,332.
5,883 new COVID-19 positive cases and 118 deaths have been reported in Tamil Nadu today. Total number of cases now at 2,90,907 including 53,481 active cases, 2,32,618 discharged cases and 4,808 deaths.
1,300 fresh cases take Delhi's Covid-19 tally to 1,45,427. Death toll due to coronavirus mounts to 4,111.
Uttar Pradesh reported 4,571 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday, taking the total in the state to 1,22,609 as 41 more fatalities pushed the the death toll due to the disease to 2,069.
3,934 more Covid-19 cases reported so far today in Bihar. Total positive cases in the state rise to 79,720.
Telangana's Covid-19 infection count soared to 79,495 after the state detected 1,982 new cases.
