Former India captain Sourav Ganguly officially elected BCCI president

Sourav Ganguly was officially appointed the president of the Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) at the Annual General Body Meeting in Mumbai. He has become the 39th president of the nation’s cricket body, and the second captain of the national team to hold the post.

Sourav Ganguly arrived at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai on Wednesday for the AGM. Notably, Ganguly filed his nomination for the role of BCCI president after eleventh-hour drama earlier this month. He has been elected unopposed as the president of richest body in world cricket.
