BJP promises 19 lakh jobs, free Covid vaccine in Bihar election manifesto

Free coronavirus vaccine for all, 19 lakh new jobs in five years are among the promises made by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in its manifesto or 'Sankalp Patra' for the upcoming Bihar election 2020, which was released on Thursday. BJP's manifesto for the Bihar election 2020 was released by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, senior leaders Bhupender Yadav, Nityanand Rai, Ashwini Choubey, and Pramod Kumar in Patna.

The Congress and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) released their respective manifestos for the Bihar Assembly elections Wednesday. While the Congress manifesto focused on loan waivers for farmers and passing legislations to reject the farm laws passed by the Parliament, the LJP played its ‘Bihar first, Bihari first’ card by promising jobs to youth and increasing enterprises in the state.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is scheduled to hold five rallies — one in Siwan and two each in Muzaffarpur and Samastipur. While RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav will address 12 rallies again — one in Rohtas, four each in Kaimur and Buxar and three in Bhojpur. Also, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Sanjay Jaiswal are scheduled to address the public in Badh, Nokha and Aurangabad. Other rallies which are lined up today are by Nityanand Rai, Mukesh Sahni, Manoj Tiwari, Raghubar Das, Babulal Marandi and others.

Voting for 243 assembly seats in the state will be held on October 28, November 3 and November 7 and results will be announced on November 10.
