Jaguar Land Rover launched the new Discovery Sport in India today for a starting price of Rs 57.06 lakh. The 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport facelift comes not only with changes to the exteriors and interiors, but with BS6-compliant petrol and diesel engines as well. The new Land Rover Discovery Sport is available with a couple of BS6 Ingenium powertrains - 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol with a 48-volt mild hybrid system and 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel. The petrol engine makes 249hp and 365Nm of peak torque, while the diesel mill develops 179hp and 430Nm of torque. Both the motors are offered with an automatic transmission.
The 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport facelift comes with several changes to the front fascia. The neatly-designed front grille is flanked by LED headlights with LED DRLs. There are new LED tailights as well. The bumpers at the front and rear have been refurbished.
Inside the cabin of the new Discovery Sport, you will come across all the premium features. The center console has been given an interesting tweak with several touch functionalities. The 10-inch+ Touch Pro infotainment system is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Smartphone pack allows the driver to connect his/her phone's apps with the Touch Pro. The new HD interactive driver display shows a plethora of information pertaining to driving dynamics and entertainment, among others. Other cabin features include wireless charger, cabin air ionization, panoramic sunroof and ClearSight rear view mirror.
