In a major blow to the Indian football, the more than 100-year-old club, Mohammedan Sporting has decided to shut shop owing to financial crunch. The winner of the Durand Cup and the IFA Shield in 2013, the club has not been able to pay its staff, players and coaches since last three months. The club has reportedly let its foreign players leave after being unable to pay them. Almost 123-year-old club was founded in 1891.
